Description

In 2010, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Rene Laliques birth in 1860, Lalique created the Homage Rene Lalique collection. In this collection, Lalique re-examines and reinterprets iconic glass creations of Rene Lalique. Rene Lalique first created glass panels to adorn the famous Orient express. This re-creation features a female figure celebrating Bacchusthe god of food, drink, and debaucheryamong vine shoots and stylized grapes. The contrast of satin-finished and polished crystal magnifies the fine detailing of the motifs.
