This exquisite grand piano music box was handcrafted by the House of Faberge in 1990 for the Franklin Mint. It's official name is “The Concert Music Box of Tchaikovsky Masterpieces”. It is handcrafted in Sorrento, Italy composed of five different wood inlays and crafted as a miniature grand piano. As you open the lid, you are greeted to an interior mirror which reflects an extraordinary array of Swiss engineering. Sitting behind a framed glass enclosure sits a 2 part 50 note REUGE movement accompanied by 4 additional interchangeable cylinders. This amazing show of craftsmanship was meticulously pieced together to reflect the workings of the greatest Russian composer of the Romantic era, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
